His boyish charm and immaculate timing, be it with comedy or action is stuff that has won Madhavan millions of fans across the world. Already a popular face on the small screen, Madhavan was introduced to films by Srinivas, who was an assistant director to Mani Ratnam. With films like 'Shanthi Shanthi Shanthi' 'Alaipayuthey', Madhavan was seen as the next big sensation on-screen. He made his debut in Bollywood with 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein', the Hindi remake of the super hit Tamil movie 'Minnale'.
