Ranvir Shorey

Ranvir Shorey is today counted as one of the most interesting actors around. He began his career, however, as a VJ. It was in those days that he shot into fame briefly as Pooja Bhatt's boyfriend. These days he is dating talented actress Konkona Sen Sharma. However, his acting debut was with actress Manisha Koirala in the film, Ek Chhotisi Love Story. Following that film, he played character roles in many other films like Jism, Lakshya and Traffic Signal. But the films which actually propelled him into the big league were films like Bheja Fry and Khosla Ka Ghosla. He was finally recognized as an accomplished actor, with a special knack for comedy. The actor has done diverse kind of roles in films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Yash Raj's Aaja Nachle. But it was in the 2008 Mithya that he got his chance to play the lead. The film was highly appreciated and so was Shorey's work in it. He followed it up with Ugly Aur Pagli and an interesting role in Singh Is Kinng in 2008. Ranvir and his friend Vinay Pathak have given a new lease of life to comedy with their performances in films like Bheja Fry and Khosla Ka Ghosla.
